Cityscape Organisers Launch Platform For Korean Property Market

Taking place in June 2015 Cityscape Korea is the latest addition to organisers’ 9 event strong portfolio

Incheon, Korea: Informa Exhibitions, organiser of the Cityscape real estate events, has signed an agreement with the Korea Economic Daily Media Group (KED) and Incheon Metropolitan City to jointly organise Cityscape Korea, the latest addition to Cityscape’s growing portfolio of real estate exhibitions and conferences.

Cityscape Korea is scheduled to take place on 12-14 June 2015 at Songdo Convensia, strategically located within Incheon Free Economic Zone and only a short distance from Incheon International Airport and downtown Seoul.

The event is positioned as the premier international real estate investment and development event for the East Asian region, connecting real estate investors and professionals from countries including China, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan and South Korea.

Cityscape Korea will incorporate a large scale exhibition showcasing the latest real estate developments and services, as well as the East Asia Real Estate Summit - a meeting point for key investors and senior level stakeholders to discuss new regulations, latest project concepts, investment trends and much more.

Bolstered by robust economic growth, South Korea’s housing market has started to recover since the beginning of 2014. The country’s housing purchase price index witnessed a 1.41% increase in the first four months of 2014, and demand for purchasing properties is up. According to the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs, property transactions rose to 58,846 units in January 2014, well above the average of 43,085 units over the past five years.

Wouter Molman, Director Cityscape Group, Informa Exhibitions, commented: “We are pleased to announce the latest addition to our fast growing portfolio of events. Our partnership with KED combines the international reach and reputation of the Cityscape brand with KED’s strong position, knowledge and network as a leading provider of business news and publications within Korea. We look forward to working with the KED team to make this yet another main meeting point for the real estate industry”.

CEO of organizer Korea Economic Daily, Mr. Kiwoong Kim commented: “In June 2015, Cityscape Korea, the Premier International Real Estate Investment & Development Event will open its doors in Korea, the leading country in Asia’s development market.
