Geneva rents are most expensive in Switzerland.

According to the agency Engel & Völkers the price per one square meter in Geneva reaches CHF 70 000, which equals $ 70,807.
This caused by high demand from the international community representatives who come to work there for United Nations, banks or business. This is the main factor that keeps the prices at the high level.
The most expensive consider to be is in the Old Town. On the Rue des Granges, for example, prices can reach up to CHF70,000 per square meter. As for nearby Cologny and Bellevue, they also "keep the level", one square metre will cost you CHF45,000 (US$45,477) and CHF35,000 (US$35,370) respectively.

Zurich is the second most expensive city in Switzerland, the average property costs reaching as much as up to CHF30,000 (US$35,399) per square meter. About 25% of the deals here are held with foreigners - mostly British, German and French investors.
But top properties very seldom come onto the market. The demand is great on the flats of 150 square meters and more and for villas dating from the late 18th and early 19th century.
